About Stephanie
The oldest child of Jeffrey and Patricia Bosch, Stephanie grew up in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia and began eventing at the age of 7. She grew up riding in the BC Young Riders program and was brought along by several of the best event coaches in BC through her eleven years competing in the province.
Stephanie moved to Norwood, North Carolina in February 2007 to join the working student program at The Fork Stables. Longtime mentor and family friend Rebecca Howard had just taken over the position of head trainer at The Fork, and with Rebecca’s help Stephanie worked towards her goal of competing at the North American Young Riders Championships. Stephanie was bronze medalist at the 2008 NAYRC, thanks to the careful coaching of Rebecca Howard.
In December of 2008, Stephanie made a commitment to further her education and moved to Ocala, Florida. In Ocala, Stephanie began training full time with Team Canada Technical Advisor, David O’Connor, and by the end of the spring season she had completed her first CCI 3* at Jersey Fresh in New Jersey. Stephanie followed the O’Connor Event Team back to The Plains, VA in May of 2009 to continue her education and train for the Fair Hill CCI 3* in October 2009. After a successful year, Stephanie began to plan for the 2010 competition year, which led her to the Rolex Kentucky CCI 4* and eventually a position on the Team at the World Equestrian Games.
Stephanie considers her education a never ending process, and continues to trust David O’Connor with the task of coaching her through 2011 and 2012. Her Goals for the next two years include competitive showings at the 2011 Rolex CCI4*, Burghley CCI 4*, and contributing to Team Gold for Canada at the London 2012 Olympics.
